d. When adding two numbers, such as 123 and 423, care is taken to first line them up and then add like digits. How does expandin

g this expression to [(1 × 102) + (2 × 101) + (3 × 100)] + [(4 × 102) + (2 × 101) + (3 × 100)] make the operation more like a polynomial addition problem?

Writing about Distance
gavmur [86]

Answer:

1 - 31 + 191 does not represent the distance of the 2 given points.

The distance between the 2 points is 12

Step-by-step explanation:

Remember distance formula: d = \sqrt{(x2-x1)^2 + (y2-y1)^2}

When we plug in our values into the distance formula into a calc,

d = \sqrt{(9-(-3))^2 + (-5-(-5))^2}

We get d = 12. This does not equal 1 - 31 + 191 (which equals 161).

pls help!! A cylindrical vase has a diameter of 12 inches and a height of 12 inches. If the vase is filled 3/4 full of soil, how
il63 [147K]

Answer:

Answer: the vase contains 1017.36 inches³ of soil.

Step-by-step explanation:

We would apply thee formula for determining the volume of a cylinder which is expressed as

Volume = πr²h

Where

h represents the height of the cylinder

r represents the radius of the cylinder.

π is a constant whose value is 3.14

From the information given

Diameter = 12 inches

Radius = diameter /2 = 12/2

Radius = 6 inches

Height = 12 inches

Therefore,

Volume of the cylindrical vase =

3.14 × 6² × 12 = 1356.48 inches³

If the vase is filled 3/4 full of soil, then the volume of soil in the vase is

3/4 × 1356.48 = 1017.36 inches³

The perimeter of Sophias garden is 42 meters. the garden is 6 meters wide. What is the length of the garden?
ivolga24 [154]
Let, the length of garden = l
Perimeter(P) = 2(l+w)

42 = 2(l+6)
42 = 2l + 12
2l = 42 - 12
l = 30/2
l = 15

So, the length would be 15 meter

Hope this helps!
