5- Vietnamization consisted of a process to withdraw the US troops from Vietnam, while the fighting was returning to the Vietnamese in the south. The withdrawal of US troops began in July 1969.

6- The United Nations is the largest existing international organization. It was created to maintain international peace and security, foster friendly relations among nations, achieve international cooperation to solve global problems and serve as a center that harmonizes the actions of nations.

7- The North Atlantic Treaty Organization is an intergovernmental military alliance governed by the North Atlantic Treaty or Washington Treaty, signed on April 4, 1949. The organization constitutes a collective defense system, in which member states agree to defend any of its members if they are attacked by an external power.

8- The Southeast Asian Treaty Organization was a regional defense organization, in force from 1955 to 1977, consisting of Australia, France, New Zealand, Pakistan, the Philippines, Thailand, Great Britain and the United States. It was founded as part of the Collective Defense Treaty of Southeast Asia, in order to protect the communist region of the USSR and China.

9- The Cold War was a political, economic, social, military, informative and scientific confrontation initiated after the end of the Second World War between the Western bloc led by the United States, and the Eastern Bloc led by the Soviet Union.
