Compared in size to the other continents of the world (South America, North America, Australia, Antarctica, Asia and Africa), Europe is the second smallest contintent, only Australia is smaller.

It has a size of 10.180.000 km2, while Australia has a size of 8.600.000 km2, Antarctica is 14.000.000 km2 large, South America has a size of 17.840.000 km2, North America 24.709.000 km2, Africa is 30.370.000 km2 large, and Asia is the biggest continent having 44.579.000 km2.
