A self-service car wash charges $4 for the initial 5 minutes plus an additional $0.75 for each minute after that. Nick only has

Answer: m ≤ 8

<u>Step-by-step explanation:</u>

NOTES:

$0.75 is the rate

$4 is the flat fee

m is the number of minutes

$10 is the maximum that can be spent (so must be less than or equal to)

***************************

0.75m + 4 ≤ 10

0.75m       ≤ 6

<u>÷0.75       </u> <u> ÷0.75 </u>

       m      ≤ 8

Answer:

10= 4+.75(m-5) when- m\geq 5

Step-by-step explanation:

In order to create the inequality, we just have to keep in mind the variables and the constants of this problem, we knoe Nick has only $10 in total, so that´s what we are going to equalize to function to, we also know that they are going to charge him .75 a minute after the first 5 minutes end, so we have to multiply that by the time that he takes and to that time substract 5 minutes since the first five minutes are included in the $4 fee.

So it´d look like this:

10= 4+.75(m-5) when- m\geq 5

And we are only using the secon part of the inequality if he took more than 5 minutes to wash the car, either way it´d make an undesired disccount.

If he swan the length and the width of the pool  it would be 21 x28 = 588 sq ft.
by swimming the length and the diagonal of the pool (25 ft)  found that by using the pythagorean therom      so now you are multiplying 21 x 25 = 525

588-525= 63 ft   he is saving

Suppose the mean percentage in Algebra 2B is 70% and the standard deviation is 8% What percentage of students receive between a
LUCKY_DIMON [66]

Answer:

49.87

Step-by-step explanation:

Normal Probability Distribution:

Problems of normal distributions can be solved using the z-score formula.

In a set with mean \mu and standard deviation \sigma, the z-score of a measure X is given by:

Z = \frac{X - \mu}{\sigma}

The Z-score measures how many standard deviations the measure is from the mean. After finding the Z-score, we look at the z-score table and find the p-value associated with this z-score. This p-value is the probability that the value of the measure is smaller than X, that is, the percentile of X. Subtracting 1 by the p-value, we get the probability that the value of the measure is greater than X.

Suppose the mean percentage in Algebra 2B is 70% and the standard deviation is 8%.

This means that \mu = 70, \sigma = 8

What percentage of students receive between a 70% and 94%

The proportion is the p-value of Z when X = 94 subtracted by the p-value of Z when X = 70. So

X = 94

Z = \frac{X - \mu}{\sigma}

Z = \frac{94 - 70}{8}

Z = 3

Z = 3 has a p-value of 0.9987.

X = 70

Z = \frac{X - \mu}{\sigma}

Z = \frac{70 - 70}{8}

Z = 0

Z = 0 has a p-value of 0.5.

0.9987 - 0.5 = 0.4987.

0.4987*100% = 49.87%.

So the percentage is 49.87%, and the answer, without the percent sign, is 49.87.

Find the largest and smallest whole number when rounded to the nearest hundred to give 1600.
kifflom [539]

Answer:

Step-by-step explanation:

Smallest and largest whole number which gives 1600 when rounded to the nearest hundred.

The lowest whole number is 1550

The highest while number is 1649

Wheb rounding to the nearest hundred, the tens value which comes after the hundred value is carefully observed, of the tens value is less than 5, then it is rounded down to zero. However, if the tens value is greater than or equal to 5, it is rounded to 1 and added to the hundred value.

Numbers below 1550 will not round to 1600 (nearest 100) also numbers greater than 1649will not round to 1600(nearest 100).butvall numbers in between them will round to 1600 (nearest hundred)
