Answer:

Option B. 5.0

Explanation:

Gallium is a trivalent metal as such it will require 3 faraday to deposit its metal according to the equation below:

Ga^3+ + 3e- —> Ga

1 faraday = 96500C

3 faraday = 3 x 96500C = 289500C

From the equation above,

70g of Ga was deposited by 289500C.

Therefore 6.3g of Ga will be deposited by = (6.3 x 289500)/6.3 = 26055C

Now, we can calculate the current flowing through the solution as follows:

t = 1.5 hrs = 1.5 x 3600 = 5400secs

Q = 26055C

I =?

Q = It

I = Q/t

I = 26055/5400

I = 5A

How do you calculate mass using density and volume?
skad [1K]
Example:

Mass = ?

Density = 25 g/mL

Volume = 5 mL

therefore:

d = m / V

25 = m / 5

m = 25 x 5

m = 125 g

hope this helps!

Caffeine (C8H10N4O2) is a stimulant found in coffees and teas. When dissolved in water, it can accept a proton from a water mole
Olenka [21]

Answer:

See figure 1

Explanation:

If we want to find the acid and the Brønsted-Lowry base, we must remember the definition for each of these molecules:

-) Acid: hydrogen donor

-) Base: hydrogen acceptor

In the caffeine structure, we have several atoms of nitrogen. These nitrogen atoms have the ability to accept hydronium ions (H^+). Therefore the caffeine molecule will be the base since it can accept

If caffeine is the base, the water must be the acid. So, the water in this reaction donated a hydronium ion.

Thus, caffeine is the base and water the acid. (See figure 1)

you are running a transformation reaction, and in your microfuge tube currently is your plasmid and your insert fragments (both
ElenaW [278]

A foreign DNA molecule can be incorporated into a bacterial plasmid during a transformation reaction.

How to explain the reaction?

With the aid of two enzymes, ligase and restriction enzymes, a foreign DNA molecule can be incorporated into a bacterial plasmid during a transformation reaction. Each enzyme detects a target DNA sequence and cuts it nearby, while ligase aids in connecting the DNA. When two bits of DNA have complimentary bases, it facilitates their joining.

Plasmid and the insert fragment are both present in the microfuge tube, and they both have compatible sticky ends. However, the ligase has been denatured and is no longer active because the prior student left it outside rather than freezing it; despite this, we had already put the ligase into the tube. Ligase aids in binding the plasmid and insert fragments together, but because it is denatured in this instance, it will no longer be able to do so. As a result, no transformation process will take place. And since ligase links DNA fragments together by catalyzing the development of connections between the nearby nucleotides, the two fragments will not be able to unite.
