You set up an experiment with yeast grown on lots of food (glucose) vs. very little glucose. Would you expect to see differences
k0ka [10]

Answer:

yes

Explanation:

The RNA, is composed by the carbohydrate called ribose, that is not glucose but it is made based of the glucose.

The pentose phosphate path, is a metabolic path in which is closely related with glucolisis, the metabolic path in which glucose is turned into energy in human body.

If there is a living thing in which the environment is poor in glucose, it can produce some RNA, but not the necessary to produce the proteins that the cell need.

In the desert food web shown below, which of the following best describes the transfer of energy between the desert tortoise and
umka21 [38]
Well from what you've said, they'll end up with the same amount of energy from one another at the end as the coyote takes 90% from the desert tortoise and then the desert tortoise is taking 10% of the coyotes energy. At this point we would assume that the coyote ends up with 80% as he takes 90 but the tortoise takes back 10, however we are then told that the tortoise takes 90% of the coyote and the coyote takes 10% so it's exactly the same. Therefore, I can infer from this that the energy transfer would stay the same between the coyote and the desert tortoise. Hope this helps x

What was one of the major benefits of modern day breeding techniques
Trava [24]

Breeding or more precisely artificial breeding is done in both plants and animals. Plants and animals with superior qualities are chosen and allowed to interbreed to produce superior quality breed. The major benefit is to meet the demands of increasing population i.e., with the help of selective breeding techniques we can increase the yield of milk from cows or the agricultural yield can be enhanced. We can introduce pest and insect resistance traits in plants. Superior breed of chickens can be made which produce large size eggs.
