<h2>120 cm^2</h2>

solution,

Given: A rhombus

To find: It's area.

Formula to find the area of rhombus:

=  \frac{1}{2}  \times d1 \times d2

( half of product of diagonals)

Also, in a rhombus ,the diagonals bisects each other.

So,

D1=5*2=10

D2=12*2=24

Area of rhombus:

\frac{1}{2}  \times d1 \times d2 \\  =  \frac{1}{2}  \times 10 \times 24 \\  =  \frac{240}{2}  \\  = 120 \:  {cm}^{2}

Hope this helps..

Good luck on your assignment..

A math class has 3 girls and 9 boys in the seventh grade and 7 girls and 3 boys in the eighth grade. The teacher randomly select
vladimir1956 [14]

Answer:

7/40

Step-by-step explanation:

There are 3 girls+9 boys = 12 students in the 7th grade

P (girl in 7th grade) = girls/ total

                                = 3/12 = 1/4

There are 7 girls+3 boys = 10 students in the 8th grade

P (girl in 8th grade) = girls/ total

                                = 7/10

P(7th grade girl, 8th grade girl) = 1/4 * 7/10 = 7/40

(4 - 3x) is greater than or equal to -9
dalvyx [7]

Answer:

x ≤ 13/3

Step-by-step explanation:

4 - 3x ≥ -9

Isolate the variable, x. Treat the ≥ sign as an equal sign, what you do to one side, you do to the other. Do the opposite of PEMDAS.

First, subtract 4 from both side:

4 (-4) - 3x ≥ -9 (-4)

-3x ≥ - 9 - 4

-3x ≥ -13

Next, divide -3 from both sides. Note that when you divide by a negative sign, you must flip the sign:

(-3x)/-3 ≥ (-13)/-3

x ≤ (-13)/(-3)

x ≤ 13/3

x ≤ 13/3 is your answer.

What is an equation of the line that is parallel to y=3x−8 and passes through (1, 8) ?
Rudik [331]

Answer:

y=3x+5

Step-by-step explanation:

Since the equation will be parallel, the slope will still be 3.

y=3x+b

Enter the point (1,8) into the equation.

8=3(1)+b

8=3+b

b=5

y=3x+5
