True, during the Civil War the Union forces attempted to create a naval blockade of all Southern ports. The goal of the blockade was to prevent the export of cotton and other goods that could support the southern economy and also to prevent the import of war making materials.

What are the three legs of triangular trade? In your answer, be sure to explain both the direction of trade and goods exchanged.
irga5000 [103]
The first leg of the triangle was from a European port to Africa, in which ships carried supplies for sale and trade, such as copper, cloth, trinkets, slave beads, guns and ammunition.[3] When the ship arrived, its cargo would be sold or bartered for slaves. On the second leg, ships made the journey of the Middle Passage from Africa to the New World. Many slaves died of disease in the crowded holds of the slave ships. Once the ship reached the New World, enslaved survivors were sold in the Caribbean or the American colonies. The ships were then prepared to get them thoroughly cleaned, drained, and loaded with export goods for a return voyage, the third leg, to their home port,[4] from the West Indies the main export cargoes were sugar, rum, and molasses; from Virginia, tobacco and hemp. The ship then returned to Europe to complete the triangle

What was the Vietnam War?

The Vietnam War was an armed conflict in which North Vietnam faced South Vietnam for complete control of the territory.

This conflict was during the decade of the 70s in the middle of the Cold War, so the influence of the great powers of the moment was fundamental for its development.

Many people of other nationalities participated in this conflict, such as American soldiers and nurses. Many of them left their physical and psychological health seriously affected because participating in such a conflict is traumatic and dangerous.

Additionally, their family and friends are also affected because they are shocked to see the effects that the war had on their relatives.

What problems in the Soviet Union led to reform?
timurjin [86]

Answer:

Worst of all, consumers in the Soviet Union had developed a taste for foreign products, such as U.S.-made Levi jeans, despite similar Soviet Union-made attire being available at lower prices. It did not matter if the jeans were smuggled and sold at atrocious prices.
