Find the approximate probability of error for an ASK signal with equi-probable binary symbols, if the average signal SNR is 10 d

B, the signal detection uses an envelope detection technique at passband for two threshold detection cases, with a threshold detector having a thresholds of ~1.2 volts (case 1),~2.2 volts (case 2). The standard deviation of the corrupting Gaussian noise is 1. Use Marcum's Q function to create your solution and label a binary transition probability channel model to illustrate your solution results. Draw a bifurcated pdf representation showing the 2.2 volt threshold and the integrated probability areas for your calculations.

Answer:

Using equation

Px|y(i|v) = py|x(v|i) · px(i)

py(v)

Pc = 1 − Pe = 1 − P{mˆ 6= m} = P{mˆ = m}

the above will become

Pe,ML =

M

X−1

i=0

px(i) · Pe,ML/i

= Pe,ML/i

Pr will be 0.8945

.How does the excerpt satirize the Church?
irina1246 [14]

Answer:

The excerpt satirize the Church (A) by exaggerating the greedy nature of the clergy

Explanation:

In “The Canterbury Tales” by “Chaucer”, the author depicts that all the clergy men, spiritual leaders in a church, are all corrupt people. He creates a satire on many characters from various professions and people from different classes.

Specifically, in a church, he criticizes that even forgiveness is available for purchase. Also, in church clergy men deceive people by asking them to buy the holy artifacts. This is cheating and is even morally wrong. Thus, Chaucer satirize the church by exaggerating the greedy nature of the clergy men.

Difference between conditioned and unconditioned rules linguistics
GenaCL600 [577]
This is not my area of expertise but as far as I understand we refer to a conditioned sound change if a phoneme when in a certain environment becomes another phoneme - there is a certain condition that propells the change. On the other hand we refer to an unconditioned sound change if all phonemes of, for example, two different kinds are merged into one phoneme - there is no condition as it happens in all instances, and ultimately there is a reduction in the number of phonemes as one is substituted for another.
