B. Is the answer. It used the word ‘then’, which is a transitional word because it links two ideas, flowing from one action to next.

I have a quiz can someone help me ?
Likurg_2 [28]
For that first one the answer would be the third choice.  Throughout the story, Anne would continually write in her diary which proved her as an excellent writer.   For the second one, probably the first choice, due to the fact of that long time that everyone was staying in the Annex, it was super depressing.  For the last one, I'm not really sure, but I'll guess the third choice.  I hope this helps, and please mark as brainliest if possibly correct. THX!

which law described in “kids at work” prevents sophie in “rocks in my pocket” from getting a work permit?
sveta [45]

Answer:

C. the 1916 federal child labor law

Explanation:

The "1916 Federal Child Labor Law" was also known as the <em>"Keating-Owen Child Labor Act of 1916." </em>This means that children<u> under age 14</u> will not be employed. Those who were aged 14 to 18, on the other hand, will only have to work for eight hours and not longer. Such law can be seen in the story entitled "Rocks in my Pocket." Although Sophie wanted to work at the coat factory, she couldn't get a work permit because she was too young and it wasn't allowed.

So, this explains the answer.

Why is Adele warning Edna of and what does she compare her to?
icang [17]

Answer:

By comparing Adèle to a heroine of days long past, Chopin makes clear that Adèle represents the idealized version of womanhood, which sets her up as foil for Edna, who has neither the desire nor the capacity to attain such status.
