People use the phrase “Middle Ages” to describe Europe between the fall of Rome in 476 CE and the beginning of the Renaissance in the 14th century. Many scholars call the era the “medieval period” instead; “Middle Ages,” they say, incorrectly implies that the period is an insignificant blip sandwiched between two much more important epochs.

Which idea about the railroad is addressed in both Carver’s proposal and the Pacific Railway Act?
Gennadij [26K]

They both present the idea of building a railroad through the rocky mountains, they have little differences in the origin since the Carver's proposal suggested to build it from Michigan Lake to the Pacific Ocean and the Pacific Railway Act states the idea of going from The Missouri river to the Pacific ocean. Even when they were proposed with a difference of 30 years one from the other it was also Dr. Hartwell Carver who was part of both proposals.

A reasoning why it is acceptable to break the law
Mekhanik [1.2K]

Answer:

Not necessarily. Even if there is a duty to obey the law, it might be trumped in specific cases by considerations of justice. Even if there is such a duty, then, unlawful strikes, whistle-blowing and other acts of disobedience might be justified.
