To put it into perspective: Andrew Jackson implemented the trail of tears, which moved Seminole Indians from Flordia to Oklahoma in the 1830's. In the 1870's, President U.S. Grant then took even more of that land from them in Oklahoma to give to settlers, or as they became known "Sooners". Even today, American Indians have treaties broken.
