PLEASE HELP Immigrants like Bharati Mukherjee brings about a new perspective of what it means to be an American. Think about the
e-lub [12.9K]

Bharati Mukherjee is an Indian woman who went to America during her school days and spent 2 years in Iowa. After that, she went back to Calcutta and married a man who was chosen for her. With her husband she moved to Canada where she found difficulties with society because of her cultural background.

After 14 years of living in Canada she decided to move to the United States and become an American citizen by her choice. She decided to do that because of the principles that were set in the Constitution’s Bill of Rights made her be more conscious about her human rights and the empowerment it gave to citizens. But now she considers the conversation of what it means to be American a big controversy.

Violence against immigrants is dividing the country between “us and them”. But Americans mostly forget that the US was built upon the many types of immigrants. They forget that American Culture has been affected by American Indians, African American, Latin American and, Asian American cultures.

Her overall purpose is to warn people and make them see that America is a mix of cultures. When she mentions “We must be alert to the dangers of an “us” vs. “them” mentality” and “We must think of American culture and nationhood as a constantly re-forming, transmogrifying “we.”” she wants to let Americans and all cultures know that adding is gaining and that immigrants of all parts of the world will add to the culture more value and it will make it more diverse and inspiring.

What method do we use when writing an essay
Nataliya [291]
Hello there!

The methods I used to write my essays are
1) You need introduction
In the introduction you will present what you are gonna talk about. For example : If they ask you : Do you like cookies or ice cream ? To answer this you need to do the introduction. "I like cookies better than ice cream. Here are 3 reasons of why I like cookies. After you said that in 5 sentences. You skipped a line and you go down to give the 3 reasons you like cookies. This is introduction

Next you have The body or the development. The body should have 3 paragraph. In the first paragraph, you give the first reason why you like cookie and make sure you give some examples to support your reasons. Always make sure you have at least 5 sentences for each paragraph. When you done with paragraph one, go to the next paragraph and give your second reason and your third reason.

When you are done with the body or the development, you skipped a line.

Next, do your conclusion. The conclusion you just summarize everything you wrote. ( it depends on what type of essays)

I hope this help!

To write an essay, you must have an introduction, the body, the conclusion.

Remember: Each paragraph MUST be at least 5 sentences.

Let me know if you have further questions!

The author claims that West Side Story was important for all of the following reasons EXCEPT:
IceJOKER [234]

Answer:

few of the actors were people of color.

Explanation:

The author of the text reveals that the musical "West Side Story" was extremely innovative, which justifies its success and influences all these years.

According to the author "West Side Story", just as "Romeu and Juliet" showed the forbidden love of two young people who were part of two different social groups (white and Latin), the plot unfolded as a modern-day turf war, introducing serious issues like gang violence and ethnic prejudice on Broadway. In addition, fast and efficient choreography and language deliberately incorporated the physicality and vernacular of street life.

However, the musical was not innovative in hiring dark-skinned actors.
