The Space Shuttle program successfully deployed the famous Hubble Space Telescope.

Explanation:

The Space Shuttle was developed by the NASA since the 1970s, and the first flight took place on April 12, 1981. After the last flight of the Apollo spaceship in 1975, the shuttle was from 1981 the workhorse of NASA. A total of 135 flights were carried out. The last shuttle flight started on July 8, 2011. With the landing of Atlantis on July 21, 2011, the era of space shuttles came to an end.  

Key achievements include the suspension of several spacecraft and the Hubble Space Telescope, several flights with built-in laboratories and flights to Mir and the ISS. A total of five space-capable orbiters were built, as well as another not space suitable for atmospheric flight tests.

Moreover, their agriculture depended mainly on irrigation through canals, reservoirs, dykes, weirs and shadoofs. It all led to a regular surplus of food, what allowed Sumers to develop in a level which had not ever been seen before in any other culture.
