Answer:

Creation of Israel, USA invading Vietnam, Korean Wars, Iraq invading Kuwait and Soviet invasion in Afghanistan.

Explanation:

These are the few notable major 20th century events that come to my mind first. With the creation of Israel in 14 May 1948 (a state still not recognized by the majority of the Muslim world) caused international controversy and led to many Palestinian rebellions and ultimately the 6 days war. Not to mention USA invading Vietnam and the Soviet Union invading Afghanistan which caused one million deaths and contributed to the downfall of the Soviet Union.

How did governments and other organizations try to control public opinion during world war i?
Sophie [7]

Answer:

The government tried many ways to stifle and control people during the WW1 era. Writers critical of the government had their mail or books detained, were put under close surveillance, or had their homes or offices raided. Some were jailed. Others were deported. This work, and the red scare of the post-war years, saw the birth of official state surveillance in 1919. In addition to press reporting, states attempted to influence opinion using a wide range of pamphlets, cartoons, and longer books.
