To do this first we will take the fraction and turn it into decimal form. To do this we will divide the numerator and the denominator.

7 ÷ 16 = <span>0.4375

Now to take it to percent form we will multiply by 100.

0.4375 </span>× 100 = 43.75%

So, 7/16 turned into a percentage would be 43.75%

Hope I helped ya!!

Use the polar representation to write the following in the form a + bi (a) (-1+ i)^7 (b) (1+v3i)^10
ira [324]

Answer with Step-by-step explanation:

For any complex number x+iy the polar form is represented as

z=re^{i\theta }

where

r^{2}=x^2+y^2\\\\tan(\theta )=\frac{y}{x}

Part a) x+iy = -1+i

Thus r=\sqrt{-1^2+1^2}=\sqrt{2}\\\\  \theta _{1}=tan^{-1}(\frac{-1}{1})=\frac{-\pi }{4}

Thus using De-Morvier's theorem

(-1+i)^7=(\sqrt{2}e^{i\frac{-\pi }{4}})^7\\\\\therefore (-1+i)^7=2^{7/2}\cdot e^{\frac{i-\pi }{28}}

Part 2) x+iy = 1+3i

Thus r=\sqrt{1^2+3^2}=\sqrt{10}\\\\  \theta _{1}=tan^{-1}(\frac{3}{1})=1.25

Thus using De-Morvier's theorem

(1+3i)^{10}=(\sqrt{10}e^{1.25i})^{10}\\\\\therefore (1+3i)^{10}=10^{5}\cdot e^{12.5i}

Use the image below to answer the following question:
Ksju [112]

Answer:  The ratios are both identical. (Choice A)

Why does this answer work?

Well let's refer to the diagram below.

Angle x has side 12 opposite it and the hypotenuse is 13.

This means sin(x) = opposite/hypotenuse = 12/13

Also, angle y has side 12 adjacent to it, meaning,

cos(y) = adjacent/hypotenuse = 12/13

Both trig ratios result in 12/13 and we can say sin(x) = cos(y)

One last thing to notice is that x+y = 90

In other words, if x+y = 90, then sin(x) = cos(y)

Phrased a slightly different way: if x+y = 90, then sin(y) = cos(x)

11/2=21/2/5/2(9/2)+b<br> Solve for b
____ [38]
We can times 5/2 and 9/2. And then divide that number with 21/2.
Then we can get 15/14.
We can subtract 15/14 from 11/2.
b=31/7
