<u>In paragraph 3, the way Amy describes the menu makes it all seem quite </u><u>disgusting</u><u>. She uses words such as "black veins", "slimy", " stacked wedges of  rubbery white sponges", and "fungus". Such a description does not make this type of dinner seem appetizing at all! At this moment, Amy is looking down on her family's cultural traditions.</u>
