Are all devices connected to the internet experiencing issues? If so, your wifi needs to be fixed/ maintenanced. This type of problem has happened to me as well, but with my computer.
If other devices are working properly, you know that the problem is only with your xbox. Follow these steps:
- Press the X button on your xbox and scroll to System.
- Click on Settings.
- Scroll down to Network and click Network Settings.
- Go to Advanced Options.
- Press Alternate MAC Address and then click Clear.
- Restart your Console.
- Now try connecting to your network.
If this doesn't work, then try this.
- Go to the front of your xbox and press and hold the X button on the front for about 10 seconds.
- This will reset your xbox. Beware that this may have adverse effects, I'm not quite sure because I haven't tried this method. It's not a factory reset though.
- Turn your xbox back on and check your internet connection, it should show up.
If this doesn't work, then:
- Go to your internet router and check to see if everything is connected properly.
- If so, then unplug your router and leave it unplugged for a minute.
- Check to see, once the router has been plugged back in, if your internet shows up for your xbox now.
If this doesn't work, then check to see if you have the latest version of the xbox in terms of updates. You can do this is settings.
Finally, try a factory reset on your xbox, but keep the games and apps while resetting. If this doesn't work, then do a complete factory reset. After this, check your wifi and internet connection.
If this doesn't work, then I have no clue what else could be done to fix this. I've hardly used consoles, so my information is based on friends who do have these issues. In other words, take this with a grain of salt. Hope the problem is solved.
