The complications that Mr. Kraler brings to the members of the secret Annexe-a hiding place was that  despite him taking over the management of dealings between Travis, Inc. and the affiliated firm of Kohlen and Co., hedidn't take adequate care to make sure that no one knew where the hiding place was.

<em>His carelessness while he was supplying them with essential supplies, keeping them secret and providing moral and psychological support caused the place to be discovered by one of theworkers who tipped off the  police.</em>

This led to the arrest of all of them in that hiding place.
