Answer: I would contend that the right answer is the A) The red tulip opened its petals.

Explanation: Just to elaborate a little on the answer, it can be added that Emily Dickinson was passionate about plants and flowers. She could identify many of them, and she often referred to them in her poems—roses, daisies, and so on. In this poem she is describing a solitary red tulip that lay beneath a tree. When the flower, protected by its cradle, felt the speaker's gentle touch, the flower "put on her carmine suit," that is, it opened its petals, as in recognition of the speaker's kind gesture.

What is the difference between HISTORICAL FICTION and BIOGRAPHY? Write a minimum 5 sentence paragraph. Begin with a GOOD topic s
UkoKoshka [18]

Historical fiction and biography are two genres that might appear very similar at first, but that are in fact quite different. Historical fiction, as the name describes, is fictional. This means that it does not describe facts or provable events. While it is based on history (hence the term "historical"), it does not claim to recreate history. An example of historical fiction would be Outlander, by Diana Gabaldon. On the other hand, biographies are based on the life of a person who lived in the past. These are mostly factual and are based on research of events that happened and people that did exist. Therefore, these more closely resemble reality.

Can someone plzzzzz help me on this poem, can you tell me if you like it, what emotions are there, and what you would add to mak
MatroZZZ [7]
If I like it:
Yes, I like this poem. It seems/feels so intimate, yet somehow I feel connected to the character.

What emotions are there:

I believe the emotions a reader would feel would be sorrow, pity, despair, grief and helplessness because he/she has no power to help the abused.

What I would add to make it better:
I probably wouldn't, perhaps start posting it publicly to sites like 'Wattpad', to get a wider perspective from public comments.
