Answer:

English Civil War history influenced New England before the American Revolution. English history influenced the thinking of American colonials, so that Americans in the 1700’s repeated the same arguments that Englishmen used against King Charles I and his use of taxation and an army in the 1600’s.

Answer and Explanation:

Prior to the American Revolution, the American colonists were well aware that the English Revolution (period of the English Civil Wars) occurred because parliamentarian John Hampden inspired people against paying ship tax which King Charles (former King of England, Scotland, and King of Ireland) requested for, without approval from the British parliament.

Inspired by the English Revolution, and equipped with knowledge of how English laws and parliament work, the American colonists (who were actually Englishmen) in the thirteen colonies believed that, because they didn’t have any direct representation in the British Parliament, it was illegal according to the Bill of Rights (1689), for the parliament to pass laws (such as the Sugar Act and Stamp Act) on colonists and ask request that they pay tax.

As immigrants arrived from many nations, why did it become necessary to restrict who and how many came to America?
miss Akunina [59]
Immigrants are people who have come from another country to live in the United States. Undocumented immigrants are those who live here without legal authorization. Roughly one third to one half of undocumented immigrants have entered the U.S. legally and overstayed their tourist, student or work visas. Many are seeking legal remedies.

Why was civil service reform important for the development of the United States?
Gekata [30.6K]
The Civil Service Reform was important to the development of the United States because it replaced the spoils system and replaced it with the merit based system. The spoils system entailed that federal employees would be given jobs based on their political affiliation and support of political parties. This is no longer the case under the merit based system. Thus, the political bias has been removed from federal jobs.

What aspects of roman society remained similar from republic to empire?
Nimfa-mama [501]
its Government
There are several characteristics that define the Roman rule. Firstly they were the most powerful people during their time. They were very good fighters. They fought to expand their territory. They were also seen to have cheated in some cases like the making of roads. They were a bit narrow minded and that was the reason why they did not have any allies for a long time. Romans believed in ruling over the whole world and so every other community were afraid of them. The Romans were not only rich, but they were capable of building huge monuments and structures that were awe inspiring considering the time. They were technologically advanced than the others.

The Senate was the Roman Republic's primary ruling body. The Roman Republic was headed by two consuls. A consul can be thought of as a state president of a country. These consuls were elected by the Roman citizens. After the consuls were elected and took office, they were advised by the Senate. The Senate was made up of a group of magistrates. A magistrate is a person responsible for administering the law. His role and function is very similar to that of a judge.
