Even though the US and the Soviet Union did tried to influence in countries all over the world, helping in conflits or recovering from the World War II, not every issue had to do with the cold war. There were a lot of internal conflicts, like the independency of African Country after the "end" of imperialism of European countries over Africa. By saying that everything was because of the Cold War, you forget the inside history of conflicts and erase some important factors that led to important moments.
