Do you believe the DDT should have been banned? Explain, why or why not?

DDT was banned becuase its an organcholoried insecticide and when the water is consumed it causes cancer

DDT is an organochloride that was developed as a insecticide. This substance became famous because of the environmental impacts it causes (like any other pesticide/ herbicide).

The substances used in agriculture, are then drained during irrigation, penetrating the soil until they reach our water reserves. When this water is consumed, it can cause cancer and other chronic deseases for example.

So, given that, I do think it should be banned.
