A) This isn't correct, I believe. It has outlawed slavery, but hasn't abolished it completely because some places were still using slaves in secrecy, it just was not legal to do so. I think this would work otherwise, but the answer is what statement BEST described it.

C) Not really because racism was still a major problem.

D) The main point of the amendment was abolishing slavery.
