"their own evil turned inside out like a glove and me wearing it.” This image is unnatural – she is using the glove as a metaphor and really it is bodies which are being turned inside out, so that the evil inside humans is exposed and she is wearing it. This is the time in which the women of the town come to see Mary.

An inside out glove has the germs on the inside due to gloves being used with the inside, inside and outside, outside. So you would put on the gloves with germs on your hand, which would make the outside filled with germs also due to your hand being in it.

Well you use context clues, (by the way this is called finding it indirectly :P), and visualize what the theme and message the author's tryna get across, like for example in The Lorax; They don't DIRECTLY state it, but based on the story sequence and structure, you could conclude that the central idea is to take care of Earth, and appreciate the things that comes out of it, because they may not be there for granted if we continue to pollute. c:
