He is arrested for simply going for a walk.

Explanation:

Currently in our society, going for a walk is seen as a positive thing. One does not get arrested for getting some fresh air. This would indicate that he lives in a dystopian society. The other statements are not true about the story. We do not know anything about Mead getting married. There is obviously a government if going for a walk is illegal. We know that people watch TV but we don't know if there is any work.
