The guilds were coming up in the towns to maintain the standard of the crafts made by the artisans. Banks were responsible for giving loans to merchants for trade and those who needed it. With the establishment of banks, markets began to spring up in towns and villages because of the existence of trade with neighboring states.

Before the bank and money system, the merchants have to pay their goods with another goods in a barter system. This often create some dispute because of 'unfairness' . The money system allowed one specific currency as a standard to exchange goods and services and eliminate this unfairness
