Answer: C. Battle of Marathon

Explanation:

The Battle of Marathon was fought in 490BC between Athens and Persia in what became known as the first invasion of the Greek mainland by the Persians and was led by Darius The Great.

Before the battle, the Athenians sent a message to request help from Sparta but the Spartans declined involvement due to their observance of a religious festival.

Regardless, Athens and her Allies inflicted a crushing defeat on the Persians that kept them out of Greece for over a decade before Xerxes the Great invaded their shores once more.

This therefore must be the battle that the text speaks of.

1. Why did America shift from isolationism to expansionism in the latter half of the 19th century?
Olenka [21]
Mostly due to the ideas of Manifest Destiny. They started going westwards with the desire to span the United States from coast to coast, and then they started going worldwide. The idea behind it is that the United States were destined to help the world become free and democratic like they were so they started helping people worldwide in rebellions against colonialism or in similar affairs.

In a paragraph describe What is sin?
Stels [109]

Answer:

Sin is a willful act against God. Christian hamartiology describes sin as an act of offense against God by despising his persons and Christian biblical law, and by injuring others. In Christian views it is an evil human act, which violates the rational nature of man as well as God's nature and his eternal law.
