Answer:

B) Only Federal government could negotiate treaties with American Indians

Explanation:

Worcester vs. Georgia was the case in which supreme court of US ruled that the states cannot impose regulation on the Native American land. But the president Andrew Jackson didn't imposed the regulation. This ruling became the basis for the various Indian Laws in USA.

The case involved group of christian missionaries who were residing int he Cherokee territory in Georgia. Samuel A. Worcester was one of the missionaries. they were instigating the Cherokee natives to resist the Georgia's laws. Georgia passed an act in 1830 which made it mandatory to get a license and swear an oath of loyalty to live on the Cherokee lands. Worcester and other missionaries were arrested by the state authorities as they neither had the license nor had they sworn loyalty oath.

Georgia had banned non-natives from being on native american soil, so when Worcester broke that law, he was indicted and the supreme court freed him because they declared that Indian land was sovereign and that Georgian laws about it were unconstitutional and that only the federal government is allowed to negotiate with them.
