Question 6 What was the purpose of the Crusades?
SVEN [57.7K]

Answer:

C,  to take back holy lands from Muslims

Explanation:

This is from the view of the European Christians, as the Muslims would've seen it differently. The Seljuk Sultanate attacked Constantinople (Present day Istanbul), and captured it. The Byzantium asked for help, so the Pope launched a crusade to unite Europe. However the Crusaders pillaged everything that was in the path of the Holy Land such as Byzantine, Turks and Muslims.

Which countries did most immigrants to the United start come from in the antebellum era
gogolik [260]

Most immigrants to the United States in the antebellum era came from Germany and Ireland.

There were various reasons why they emigrated into the States, but the most important one was civil unrest in their native countries. Also, they couldn't find jobs home, and they heard that America is a land of freedom and opportunity, so obviously they wanted to be successful too.

Hope this helps!
