She is so quiet that both Big Ma and Mama notice a change in her behavior. Cassie started not really eating or sleeping as much as she usually does, and Big Ma says Cassie has been talking in her sleep. Furthermore, she hardly ever goes out to play and has been rude to her brothers. Cassie’s internal struggle with her fear has changed the way she feels and acts.
