No ,but after Germany attacked pearl harbor the U.S. had get revenge and fight back because it would make them look weak to other nations an countries.

I believe they had nothing to fight for except to stop the war and help France and Great Britain. But when Japan bombed petal harbor and declared war on the US. President FDR joined the war. In my opinion if the US never joined the allied Great Britain and France would of had a rough time because the US supplied food, money, soldiers, etc.
