Answer:

D. Technology helps people obtain more data.

Explanation:

Technology such as microscopes, monitors, and robots help scientists conduct experiments and find out more about life. Robots can explore places like Mars, microscopes help scientists find out more about cells and prokaryotes, and monitors/computers help scientists research and store data.

Introduction paragraph on how people respond when challenged by fear.
Korvikt [17]

Answer:

The only way to deal with fear is to face it. Avoiding our fears only prevents us from moving forward—it makes us anxious. But be gentle with yourself and do only what feels safe to you! If you find yourself getting more panicky, take a break and find something pleasant or comforting to notice or do.

Sever21 [200]
Ok the setting is clearly outside.

The first point could be that the description of the growling dog gives an effect of being surrounded by danger, especially with the repetition of the growling coming from everywhere.
It give a feeling of being trapped and Stephen king uses this to create tension.

The second point could refer to the woman and her strange actions because she is frightened of the unknown, and often being in the outside exposes you to things you can’t always escape from. King uses this to convey a fearful setting that a reader can relate to.

I hope this helps :)
