The correct answer to this open question is the following.

The author uses setting and description to create suspense in the passage in many different forms.

For instance, the cheering of the fans that attended the context. It has been many years since a human had beaten a robot-athlete, so people started to chant the names of the human competitors: Amy and Jeremy. Here, the author likes to use vivid imagery to show readers how special the moment was with all the people supporting human athletes.

Another example could be when a robot fell down during the context and Jeremey had to suddenly maneuver to avoid the fallen robot. Here, the author describes the determination shown by Jeremy, knowing that this was a once in a lifetime opportunity for winning the games.

What information does Professor Trevelyan provide about women of the 17th century?
vovikov84 [41]

Answer: A.

They were married at a young age

Explanation: Professor Trevelyan points out, she was locked up, beaten, and flung about the room. A very queer, composite being thus emerges. Imaginatively she is of the highest importance; practically she is completely insignificant. She pervades poetry from cover to cover; she is all but absent from history. She dominates the lives of kings and conquerors in fiction; in fact, she was the slave of any boy whose parents forced a ring upon her finger.
