Honestly it’s kinda just a miss or hit with indirect democracy but how I see it I think it’s good because there’s an elected official that represents the majority of the peoples voices these officials represent the citizens' ideas and concerns in government

This effect is brought about by the popularity of the presidential candidate who brings in supporters that will also vote for his/ her party's candidates. This is in relation to the idiom, ride on coattails, which means riding on another person's success. </span>
<span>They didn't speak the language. There were cultural differences. They were discriminated against by the native born Americans. Hard to find a job and a place to live.</span>
