Answer:

The first and second statements are true

Step-by-step explanation:

Scale drawings are easier to work with than the actual object because they help a person understand the measurement better because they have scales

They should have the same proportion as the actual object in order to help calculate the real measurement of the object using the scale ratio

Points A, B, and C are collinear. Point B is between A and C. Find the length indicated. AB= 5x-15, BC=3x-5, and AC=28. Find AB
katrin2010 [14]

Answer: AB is 15

Step-by-step explanation: First, you need to draw a picture and label the parts of the line: AB=5x-15; BC= 3x-5; AC =28. Because of the segment addition postulate, you set the equation to be 5x-15+3x-5=28. Then you solve:

5x-15+3x-5=28

Add like terms:

8x-20=28

Add 20 to both sides

8x=48

Divide by 8

x=6

Now, you need to find the measure of AB, so you plug the 6 into the x variable for 5x-15

5(6)-15

30-15

AB=15

How can you use the sign of the points to determine location? please help and i will give brainliest :D
Vladimir [108]

To determine the location of a point on a graph, the first number of the ordered pair is a x-coordinate which means the first number you would look for would be the horizontal line, or the x-axis. The second number is the y-coordinate which means that you would look on the vertical line, or the y-axis. You would go on the horizontal line first, then from there go up to the y-coordinate and place your point. (I'm sorry if it's long but you can try to shorten it.)

Hope this helped!

Have a nice day!
