Terrance is going on the road to show how the world’s climate has been changing. He is going to show how the polar ice caps have

receded over time. He will be speaking in auditoriums around the country, and in each case the audience will likely have at least 150 people. His presentation was created in Prezi and contains no more than seven lines of text, each with no more than seven words. He was sure to plan for a medium that would keep his listeners’ attention while never straying from the relevance of his presentation. What rule for using visual aids was Terrance considering above all?

Answer:

The rule he is using is to use a few lines of text.

Explanation:

Terrance is preparing to use visual aids in his presentation. This is a great idea, since the visuals are able to draw the audience's attention efficiently, in addition to allowing some information, from the presentation, to be highlighted.

However, to use visual aids in presentations it requires that some rules be followed. One of these rules is to use a few lines of text, which is what Terrance is doing. By using a few lines of text, Terrance is able to draw the audience's attention to a specific theme, but without taking his attention away from what he will say about that theme. In addition, when using this rule, Terrance provides a clean presentation without excess information that will tire listeners.

The given clause, "whoever wins the contest a savings bond" is a subordinate or a dependent clause. This kind of clause does not convey a complete thought and needs the main sentence in order to make it understandable. This subordinate clause is connected to the main clause with the subordinating conjunction "whoever".

Animals are used for experiments, to do dangerous acts, to find criminals, etc. Find out how much animals suffer while helping h
MAXImum [283]

Answer:right now, millions of mice, rats, rabbits, primates, cats, dogs, and other animals are locked inside barren cages in laboratories across the country. They languish in pain, suffer from extreme frustration, ache with loneliness, and long to be free.

Instead, all they can do is sit and wait in fear of the next terrifying and painful procedure that will be performed on them. The complete lack of environmental enrichment and the stress of their living situation cause some animals to develop neurotic types of behavior such as incessantly spinning in circles, rocking back and forth, pulling out their own fur, and even biting themselves. After enduring a life of pain, loneliness, and terror, almost all of them will be killed.

There are many non-animal test methods that can be used in place of animal testing. Not only are these non-animal tests more humane, they also have the potential to be cheaper, faster, and more relevant to humans.

While some of the experimentation conducted on animals today is required by law, most of it isn’t. In fact, a number of countries have implemented bans on the testing of certain types of consumer goods on animals, such as the cosmetics-testing bans in the European Union, India, Israel, New Zealand, Norway, and elsewhere.

Which statement tells where a paragraph break should be in this dialogue?
bekas [8.4K]
I guess the paragraph break should be after the B) Ellen asked and "How are you feeling?" and Ellen said. Because while reading this dialog, reader need a pause between the information which these characters exchange. In my opinion, there must be graphical and emotional space between their introduction and next action that hasn't revealed yet. Also, I'd choose B to make this conversation looks alive.

What is the most likely effect of too much type on one slide during a presentation? The audience will stop listening to the pres
Snezhnost [94]

Answer:

 • The audience will stop listening to the presenter in order to read the slide.
 • The audience will ignore the information on the slide because of the amount of information on it.

Explanation:

A presentation refers to the visual representation and elaboration of a specific topic to the audience. In other words, it is more like a demonstration and providing a speech on the topic along with the PowerPoint slides. The use of too much of the write-up in a slide has two effects on the audience. They either engage too much in reading them and not listening to the explanation to it given by the presenter. Or, they may ignore the things written in the slides.
