The metaphor that Dr. King uses in his speech of August 1963, "I have a dream" to symbolize the responsibility of America for slavery is option <em>D. a bad check or promissory note</em>. Dr. King speaks of the Emancipation Proclamation as a beacon-light of hope to all negro slaves. But, 100 years after has not become real for them. They were still suffering segregation, so this promisory note or check has no funds.
