The metaphor that Dr. King uses in his speech of August 1963, "I have a dream" to symbolize the responsibility of America for slavery is option D. a bad check or promissory note. Dr. King speaks of the Emancipation Proclamation as a beacon-light of hope to all negro slaves. But, 100 years after has not become real for them. They were still suffering segregation, so this promisory note or check has no funds.

dlinn [17]

The answer is B.

For the Haida people, all of humanity came from a cockle shell, liberated by The Raven, who opened the shell. The first men and women, in the Haida tradition, came from a sea creature, meaning all men come from the sea, therefore they have a deep respect for the sea. Also, the Haida, being people who live in an archipelago, get most of their resources (and communicate) through the sea, so they think highly of it and respect it.
