Tara is correct because you have to add 4+5+6+7+8 to get 30 and then divide it by how many numbers there are and that is 5 so you get 6. Hope hit helps!!

Answer:

Tara is correct.

Step-by-step explanation:

The mean is the average of the numbers.

Number of hours      Sample A      Sample B

4                                   70                         80

5                                  100                       90

6                                  125                       120

7                                  135                       125

8                                70                          85

The mean number of hours is :

\frac{4+5+6+7+8}{5} =\frac{30}{5}=6

Tara is correct as the mean is the average of the given data(hours).

Find the gradient of the line segment between the points \bf{(4,3)\:and\:(5,6)}

\Large\maltese\underline{\textsf{B. This problem has been solved!}}

The formula used, here is

\bf{m=\dfrac{y2-y1}{x2-x1}

\cline{1-2}

Now let's put in the co-ordinates from these two points.

\bf{m=\dfrac{6-3}{5-4}} | subtract on top & bottom

\bf{m=\dfrac{3}{1}} | divide

\bf{m=3}

\cline{1-2}

\bf{Result:}

                      \bf{=m=3}

Free_Kalibri [48]

Answer:

3

Step-by-step explanation:

log(3x^{3}) - log(x^{2}) = log(\frac{3x^{3}}{x^{2}})\\log(27) - log(x) = log(\frac{27}{x} )\\

therefore,

\frac{3x^{3} }{x^{2} } = \frac{27}{x} \\3x=\frac{27}{x} \\3x^{2} =27\\x= +3\\x=-3

however, since logarithms cannot have negative arguments, x can only be +3

i.e. log(-3) is impossible, and will return MATH ERROR on a calculator.
