Civil disobedience is the refusal to obey unjust/ unfair laws. Gandhi's followers hoped to achieve independence of India from the British, who owned the land at the time. So they boycotted things with Gandhi, which is civil disobedience because they boycotted British goods sent to India. Hope this helps!:)
