You put together 2z and 3z and add them, that equals 5z then add 15 then one more thing minus 4 to get your answer. 180

Hope I helped

To simplify this equation, we have to combine like terms and even the equation.

First, combine the like terms.

180 = 2z + 15 + 3z - 4
180 = 5z + 15 - 4
180 = 5z + 11

Awesome! Now, we need to do is subtract 11 from each side...as so:

180 - 11 = 5z + 11 - 11
180 - 11 = 5z
169 = 5z

Great! All that is left to simplify is the 5z, and we do this by dividing 5 from 169 and from 5z. (This leaves z alone on one side of the equation.)

169 / 5 = 5z / 5
169 / 5 = z
33.8 = z

To check our work, we can replace z with 33.8 in the original equation:

180 = 2(33.8) + 15 + 3(33.8) - 4
180 = 67.6 + 15 + 101.4 - 4
180 = 82.6 + 101.4 - 4
180 = 184 - 4
180 = 180!

Our solution is correct! Hope I could help you out! If my math is wrong, or isn't the answer you are looking for, please let me know! Have a good one!

A parallelogram-shaped sponge is 1 inch by 3 inches. The area of a design is 66 square inches. How many times do you use the spo
Kipish [7]

Answer:

You can use the sponge 22 times to create the design

Step-by-step explanation:

Area of the parallelogram-shaped sponge = base × height = 3 inches × 1 inch = 3 square inches

Area of design = 66 square inches

Number of times to use the sponge to create the design = Area of design ÷ Area of parallelogram-shaped sponge = 66 square inches ÷ 3 square inches = 22

The sponge can be used 22 times to create the design

I want to deposit money 1200 dollars in a bank. Bank offers me with a simple account with a yearly interest rate of .12. Bank b
Delicious77 [7]

Answer: The simple interest will offer more money.

Step-by-step explanation:

Considering the simple interest offer, we would apply the formula for determining simple interest is expressed as

I = PRT/100

Where

I represents interest paid on the amount deposited.

P represents the principal or amount deposited

R represents interest rate

T represents the duration in years.

From the information given,

P = $1200

R = 0.12 = 0.12 × 100 = 12%

T = 3 years

I = (1200 × 12 × 3)/100 = $432

Total balance after 3 years is

1200 + 432 = $1632

Considering the compound interest offer, we would apply the formula for determining compound interest which is expressed as

A = P(1+r/n)^nt

Where

A = total amount in the account at the end of t years

r represents the interest rate.

n represents the periodic interval at which it was compounded.

P represents the principal or initial amount deposited

From the information given,

P = 1200

r = 0.08

n = because it was compounded 4 times in a year.

t = 3 years

Therefore,

A = 1200(1 + 0.08/4)^4 × 3

A = 1200(1 + 0.02)^12

A = 1200(1.02)^12

A = $1522

Add the mutiple fraction then simply the answer use #/# format 1/3+1/4+1+9=
Maslowich
First, simplify the given expression: combine 1 and 9 to get 10.
Then the problem reduces to 1/3 + 1/4 + 10.

The LCD of these two fractions is 12, and so, after conversion to LCD 12, we get

4+3
----- + 10 => 10 7/12, or 127/12

kendra knits hats. She starts with 3 3/4 yd of yarn. After knitting for 5 1/4 h their is 1 1/8 yd of yarn left. At what rate doe
nadezda [96]

Answer:

The rate is 1 ÷ 2 yards per hour

Step-by-step explanation:

The computation of the rate does the amount of yarn changes is given below:

= 3 3 ÷ 4 - 1 1 ÷8

= 15 ÷ 4 - 9 ÷ 8

= 21 ÷ 8 yards

Now divide the above fraction by the number of hours

= 21 ÷ 8 yards ÷ 5 1 ÷ 4

= 21 ÷ 8 × 4 ÷ 21

= 1 ÷ 2 yards per hour

Hence, the rate is 1 ÷ 2 yards per hour

The same would be relevant
