They saw how alcohol created hardships in the home and destroyed families. They also opposed saloons, centers of political deal-making from which they usually were banned.

The crusade against alcohol was a protest by women, in part, of their lack of civil rights. Women could not vote. In most states women could not have control of their property or custody of their children in case of divorce. There were no legal protections for women and children, prosecutions for rap were rare, and the state-regulated "age of consent" was as low as seven. Most local political meetings were held in saloons from which women were excluded. At the end of the 19th century Americans spent over a billion dollars on alcoholic beverages each year, compared with $900 million on meat, and less than $200 million on public education.

Suppose you're driving home from watching a scary movie about a hitchhiker who was a murderer when you see someone talking loudl
kotegsom [21]

Answer:

The best explanation for this phenomenon is PRIMING

Explanation:

Primingcould be defined as a technique in which the introduction of one stimulus influences how people respond to a subsequent stimulus. Priming works by activating an association or representation in memory just before another stimulus or task is introduced.

Priming is the process by which perception or experience of an item (or person or event) leads to an increase in its accessibility and the accessibility of related material and behaviors. therefore priming is what happens when exposure to some thing influences the behavior of an individual later on, without that individual being aware that the first thing is guiding their behavior to a certain extent.

The person was exposed to a scary movie which latter affected his behaviour when he witnessed an argument which he probably think will end in a fight.
