In paragraph 1, what opinion does the author express about a poor “countryman’s” place in Europe versus his place in America
Natalka [10]

The correct answer to this open question is the following.

The opinion that the author expresses about a poor “countryman’s” place in Europe versus his place in America is that in Europe, the government and society do no take into consideration the poor people. The result of this attitude is that poor European people find it hard to call these countries their own, because of that indifference. In comparison, the author says that in the American colonies they have proper legislation and social systems that allow the creation of jobs for all Americans, so citizens feel protected and cherished by the government.

We are talking about the fictional publication called "Letters from an American Farmer," written by J. Hector St. John de Crevecoeur.

What would you do if a bully bothered you at school? <br> I need five complete sentences.
PtichkaEL [24]
If a bully bothered me at school, I would first ignore it. Then if the bullying gets worse, I would ask him/her to stop politely(be patient with bullies they are having a hard time, and thats why they are most likely picking on you). If it doesn't stop I would report it to an adult, or a parent. It will stop after this, if it doesn't then talk to the bullies' parents or the principal

Describe the structure of government under the Articles of Confederation (how many branches ), its strengths , its weaknesses ,
myrzilka [38]

Answer: The national government consisted of a unicameral (one-house) legislature (often called the Confederation Congress); there was no national executive or judiciary. Delegates to Congress were appointed by the state legislatures, and each state had one vote. The Articles of Confederation came into effect on March 1, 1781, after being ratified by all 13 states.

Explanation:

STRENGTH OF ARTICLES OF CONFEDERATION.

(1) The Government successfully waged a war for independence against the British.

(2) The Government successfully negotiated to put an end to the American Revolution in the Treaty of Paris, signed in 1783.

(3) Government granted the free inhabitants of each state “all the privileges and immunities of free citizens in the several states.”

(4) Government established the Departments of Foreign Affairs, War, Marine, and Treasury.

WEAKNESS OF ARTICLE OF CONFEDERATION

(1) One vote was allocated for each state, despite the size of its population.

(2) No national court system was established to protect the rights of U.S. citizens.

(3) No executive branch was established to enforce laws.

(4) Congress had no power to print money, therefore each state developed its own

currency.

(5) Congress was unable to impose taxes; it could only borrow money on credit.
