As Faustus is contemplating and having second thoughts, Mephastophilis gives him rich gifts and a book of spells to learn. He offered Faustus a choice between good and evil when he warned him about the horrors of hell. Thank you for posting your question. I hope this answer helped you. Let me know if you need more help.

Mephastophilis is a complex character whose motives are not obvious. Despite being a devil, he does not readily support Faustus in making a deal with Lucifer. He tells Faustus how horrible hell is, so that Faustus knows what kind of a future awaits him if he barters away his soul. Having experienced the happiness of heaven, Mephastophilis is torn between heaven and hell. He is unhappy in hell and confesses to Faustus that he is tormented there:

Why this is hell, nor am I out of it.

Think'st thou that I, who saw the face of God,

And tasted the eternal joys of heaven,

Am not tormented with ten thousand hells,

In being deprived of everlasting bliss?

O Faustus, leave these frivolous demands,

Which strike a terror to my fainting soul!

By warning Faustus of the nature of hell, Mephastophilis offers him an opportunity to reconsider his decision and turn away from evil.

Use your own words to define the right to a fair trial
Fantom [35]
A trial which is observed by trial judge or by jury without being partial is a fair trial. Various rights associated with a fair trial are explicitly proclaimed in Article 10 of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, the Sixth Amendment to the United States Constitution, as well as many other constitutions and declarations throughout the world. There is no binding international law that defines what is not a fair trial, for example, the right to a jury trial and other important procedures vary from nation to nation.

What does the family often grumble about? Make a list of things the family is not content with from grumble family
IceJOKER [234]

Answer:

The Grumble family found fault with everything and nothing, from the weather to the rains and the sun. And if there is nothing to grumble about, <em>"they'd growl that they'd nothing to grumble about."</em>

Explanation:

Lucy Maud Montgomery's poem "The Grumble Family" presents a neighborhood scene. In the poem, the speaker focuses on a particular family and their 'unsatisfactory' reaction to everything and how they are never contented with anything.

The Grumble family 'grumbles' about nothing and everything. Ranging from weather to complaining about nothing to grumble about, the family never seems to run out of issues to find fault with.

They grumble about <em>"the weather . . . the rain . . . the sun . . ."</em> That's not all, <em>"if everything pleased them . . . They'd growl that they'd nothing to grumble about!" </em>
