Answer:

Homology

Explanation:

This is termed homology because it involves the existence of similar structures that do not necessarily perform the same functions found in different species. These structures in particular evolve from a common ancestry lineage. An example can be seen in the case of the wings of bats and the hands of humans.

What brings up
tiny organism and nutrients from deep ocean layers
olga55 [171]
I believe the only explanation to this is that the tiny organisms and nutrients from deep ocean layer is from dead fishes and other organisms from the deep ocean layer that is how the other fishes get their food supply and nutrients. When a fish dies especially in the deep ocean their bodies float to the top of the ocean.

I believe that is your answer.
Hope this helped :)

What would happen if a mutation created a new allele that decreased fitness?
kykrilka [37]
Fitness describes a reproductive success of an individual. For example, there are green and yellow beetles in a population. If a color affects the reproductive success, for example, green beetles will have more offspring that the brown ones because of their color. So, green beetles have higher fitness. And the beetles with decreased fitness will have less offspring.

So, if a mutation creates a new allele which decreases the fitness, the altered allele will not be inherited in such a ratio as the unaltered allele will.

In gymnosperms and angiosperms, seeds disperse the ________ stage of the life cycle and in mosses and ferns, spores disperse the
Scrat [10]

Answer:

The correct answer is - sporophyte and gametophyte.

Explanation:

In seed producing plants such as gymnosperm and angiosperms the sporphytic part of life cycle is more dominant than the gametophytic part of life cycle. Sporophyte life cycle arise just after the formation of the zygote formation from fertilization of the gametes. The seeds are sporophytic structure that are dispersed to grow and be a full sporophytic plant with root, stem and leaves.

In mosses and ferns the case is different as there are no seed forming present the spores that are gametophytic as has n number of chromosome disperse to produce gametophytic plants that are comparatively small to sporophytic ones.

Thus, the correct answer is - sporophyte and gametophyte.
