The Southern Democrats supported secession from the United States after the 1860 presidential election.

Explanation:

One of the most pivotal American presidential elections was the one held in 1860. Abraham Lincoln won with a landslide victory.

Lincoln could dominate the Northern States but failed considerably to garner votes in the Southern States.

There was also a huge civil unrest over slavery, State Rights, tariff disagreements, etc. Slavery being legal in the South was banned in the North; the northerners were industrialists and the southerners being slave owners.

With all these unrest and the feeling that Lincoln’s idealism was against them, the southern democrats began to revolt and secede from the union.

South Carolina lead the secession followed by states like Florida, Georgia, Texas, Mississippi, Louisiana, Alabama, Virginia, Tennessee, North Carolina joined the group. All these southern democrats formed the Southern Confederacy with Jefferson Davis as the president .

What impact did the arrival the arrival of chinese troops have on the korean war?
kari74 [83]

The Chinese decided to enter the Korean War on November 25-26, 1950. This was an enormous shock to the American forces, as well as to the United Nations. The United States, and in particular U.S. Gen. Douglas MacArthur, believed that the Chinese would not openly enter the war. When China did provide support to North Korea, the effect was catastrophic on the American forces, leading to a great expansion of the conflict.

xxMikexx [17]

The answer is because the road was not a part of any scheme of interstate commerce.

Jackson banned the bill on the grounds that federal funding of intrastate projects of this nature was undemocratic. He professed that such bills dishonored the code that the federal government should not be convoluted in local economic affairs. Jackson also pointed out that backing for these kinds of projects delayed with giving off the national debt.
