It could not be "good and evil" because the second story has no evil part, and arrogance means having too much pride or you're too full of yourself and the second story doesn't have that either... It's useless toil because "toil" means to work hard and you put useless infront and It makes it not necessary which both these stories have, I hope this helps :]
