ser-zykov [4K]

America became known as a "me a "melting pot". As immigrants began to Assimilate.

Answer: Option D

Explanation:

The United States of America was known as the melting pot which was used as a metaphor where the heterogeneous society became more homogeneous or the vice versa where homogeneous society became heterogeneous because of the people of different cultures came into the society having different cultural back grounds.

This was because of the assimilation of the immigrants which led to the formation of multi cultural-ism of the society of the United States of America. Another metaphor used for this was a salad bowl.
