Answer:
In moderation, yes.
Explanation:
President FDR was surely a great president for what he did for Americans in the 1940s. Forcing Japanese internment camps are not one of his greatest contributions in our history living modernly, but back in the 40s it was not so frowned upon. If we, in modern days, looked back on this moment, we can see FDR was not so different than Hitler for forcing Japanese Americans out their homes and into camps. However, when we look back at the actions during WWII and we understand America's relationship with Japan and the unease it caused Americans, we may be able to sympathize with FDR and understand why he made that decision. He should be criticized for his actions, but those who criticize him should also understand why he made the decision he made.

This isn't a great story, to be quite honest. The story focuses less on the ways man used to start fires and more on the ways that nature started fires independently of humans.
That being said, it would seem as though the author is trying to express the fragility of fire early on, and it does seem as though he/she is saying that early on, humans just found a small amount of fire from a really dangerous origin to use as a kindling.
For sure, your answer should come from the second paragraph, which is the paragraph describing early kindling methods.
Answer and explanation:
The Witch of the North is a good witch in the Oz stories by L. Frank Baum. She has a magic hat which, when balanced upon her nose, gives her the power of divination. She can also teleport herself, transform things into completely different objects, or even animals and people, and cast a protective spell. Even though she is not as powerful as other witches, she still helps Dorothy by kissing her on the forehead. That kiss works as a protection from harm. It is the reason why Dorothy is not attacked by the Winged Monkeys and the Wicked Witch of the West.
