Temperatures are usually high (21-32) and on a daily basis variations are extreme. The deserts are subject to frequent fog and low-level clouds. The cooling results from the oceans and coastal waters give rise to cold currents. The maritime air penetrates less frequently as the high and low sun-monsoonal winds blow along the coast.
